Effective as of June 29, 2026. Discover how we manage and protect your data, especially when connecting via Google OAuth.
Important Information Note — Student Project
Nexus System is currently a student project with an educational purpose. Although we apply the best security practices, the collection of your data is strictly limited to what is necessary to operate the service.
01 Data collected
In order to provide you with access to our platform, we collect a minimum of personal information.
Authentication via Google (Google OAuth): When you log in with your Google account, we receive the following information from Google:
- Your email address, used as the primary identifier for your account.
- Your first and last name (or pseudonym), used to personalize your experience.
- The URL of your public profile picture (if available), to display it in your personal space.
We do not have any access to your Google password or any other data in your Google account, such as your emails, your contacts, or your files.
02 Use of your data
The information we obtain via Google OAuth and your use of the platform are strictly used to:
- Create, secure, and manage your Nexus System user space.
- Link your equipment (sensors, pumps) to your identity securely.
- Send you notifications concerning the state of your pool (alerts, maintenance tips).
We do not resell or rent your personal data to third parties. Data is only used for internal purposes to improve the Nexus System project.
03 Storage and Security
Your personal data and the information of your equipment are stored securely in encrypted databases, hosted on the infrastructures of service providers recognized for their security (Cloud).
The use of Google OAuth enhances the security of your account, because it avoids you having to create and memorize a specific password for our platform which could be compromised.
04 Your Rights
In accordance with data protection regulations, you have a right of access, rectification, and total deletion of your data.
You can unlink Nexus System from your Google account at any time by going to the security settings of your Google account, under the "Third-party apps with account access" section.
To request the permanent deletion of your account and the history of your equipment, please contact us via the contact page of the site.
05 Bot Protection
Our forms (contact, beta programme, newsletter) are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a tool that tells human visitors apart from bots in order to prevent automated submissions. Depending on how the widget is configured, the check may run entirely in the background, with nothing displayed and no action required from you.
To do so, Turnstile processes technical signals: your IP address, your browser's TLS fingerprint, the User-Agent header, and the sitekey together with its origin domain. Cloudflare states that it cannot directly identify an individual from these signals, which are strictly necessary for bot detection.
Cloudflare acts as a data processor when it handles these signals to protect our site, and as a data controller when it uses them to improve its own detection capabilities.
This processing is described in Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum, which supplements its privacy policy.
